Balinese mostly are Hinduism. All of them seldom speak Bahasa Indo and they have their own language.Tourism is now become largest industry and played an important role to enhance the economic of Bali. As a result, Bali is one of Indonesia's wealthiest regions. However, the economy has suffered significantly as a result of the terrorist bombings of 2002 and 2005. But now the situation is still getting better and better. Job opportunities are getting more due to the enhancement of the tourism. Our country of tourism really lose as compared to Bali. We had so many natural resources but yet we unable to promote it well. It is our country weaknesses.
Denpasar is the capital city of the island but surprisingly Kuta is the most happening places to be visited by many other tourists. Furthermore, bali has many beaches and Kuta area is good for surfing because of strong wave. It has become another interested activity for the tourists especially teenagers and bag packer. It is different from Malaysia's beaches. Malaysia's beaches are more silent and peaceful. It is only small island but we can discover so many things there. For examples, swimming, snorkeling, scuba Diving, surfing, shopping, sightseeing, massage, cultural exploring, cultural dancing show, motor riding, and lastly eating of course. Here is renowned for its highly developed arts, including dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music. (Warning: Please do burgain when u purchase on anythings that u like at least 100 % less.)
Legian, Kuta and Jimbaran are one of the tourist attractions where are the nearest to international airport. There are many cheap hotel around and most of the bag packers would stay at these area. Various of shops are available here but the items are not as cheap as other ASEAN countries. Me and Khoo had moved from one hotel to the others guesthouse within these 6 days in order to get the cheapest ones. Each guesthouses cost us approximately Rm 70-80 per days. At first, we got to rent a motorbike so that we could travel by ourself. (Warning: Remember to bring sunblock when travelling in ASEAN Countries, If not u will regret like us.)
Tanah Rata is the most famous place that everyone would visit. Both of us arrived there about one hours by motorbike. We kept asking pedestrians for direction. The temple was so spiritual and natural. The integration between the sky, the sea, the temple with the sunset was so beautiful. It just like borderless. The creator was applied the site context with excellence. It was an amazing scene that i never saw before. Everyone included the tourists, local people sat at the hillside and photographs everywhere to enjoy the view that this temple created for us. The spiritual of the temple is bringing along with clue message of the people towards the god or from god towards people. (Warning: Must bring along your digital camera.)
Every Friday in the evenings, these Balinese will go to pray as usual at Besakih Temple (Mother Temple). This temple is the famous and the biggest temple in Bali. What are these Balinese doing? They are seem like not need to work. They can really earn the money without working. It is because the tourist will give them the money. Balinese are purposely said that tourists who visit is compulsory to have a local tour guide. What the fuck is this rules that we have to pay them the money, 100 USD for 20 minutes explanations, it is just non-sense, man! If we don't pay we are not allow to enter. Then, do u think they still need to work everydays? (Warning: U have to follow a tour because it is too far away from Kuta town, and please argue with the price before confirming the trip.)
It is my first time to wear dress before entering to Bali's temples. I looked so happy. The Pura Luru Uluwatu is located on the tip of the Badung peninsula, with a breathtaking view of the sea. The temple's design and the location of site had indicated that Balinese were very creative. It was an excellence a pieces of art. They had already knew how to communicate with the god in the older days. Temples has became the meeting point of humans and gods during their stay on the island. The style of Balinese architectural was so strong and meaningful due to the context they had applied. Try to imagine that, the combination of the cliff, the borderless sea and sky, the uluwatu's temple and people. It has created a sense of infinity of the space and unlimited compound for the humans and gods. The message was sent between them. (Warning: Take care of your belonging and Be aware of the cliff's monkey because they are theives.)
The biggest volcano in Bali is Gunung Agung. Because of the distance is far, both of us rather lent a bus taxi. Afterwords, we continued our journey to rice terraces. The views are not bad but I felt like being cheat because it was just sightseeing along the journey. There are many malaysia's businessmen like to come Bali to obtain projects especially interior design firm. Balinese had invited Malaysia's designer to design the cafes, hotels, gardens and ever restaurants. It is undeniable that Bali already had their own characteristics and identities obviously.
As we knew, Malaysia had so called second home programme especially at Penang Island. Bali Island is much more attractive. There have Bali dream house. These fews year back, the economy of bali is rising up and the properties value no doubt are increased dramatically. Many investors from oversea to purchase bungalow lots or land for living or investment purposes. The most famous areas were Pecatu, Sanur and Nusa Dua. These three area are free from cities, natural environment, fresh breathtaking towards the sea view. Nusa Dua is surrounding by 5-6 stars luxurious resorts, golf clubs, and white sand beaches. One night stay is more than RM 300++ excluded spa and massage. The Bali's state government is planning so well in order to attract all the foreign's investor and tourists to build up the economy of this island. Automatically, Malaysia is advised to learn from them in term of their policy of implements and the strategics of development.
